Oils for wood

Yesterday I had a talk with my friend Rafael Marco about oils for wood.

He told me that a there is a guy at Nafarroa = Navarra who mixes natural oils with mandarin smell.

Another option is to try liquid bee wax. Preheat the wax.

I have available olive oil, and I am aplying coats of it to a wegener Paulownia blank as it is.

Peanut butter could be another option, we do not have it locally.

Nut oil could also work.

Pine tar or swedish tar in northern Europe.

Vegetal oils as Colza, or linseed oil coul be used too. Mikel Urigoitia is experimenting with comercial linseed oil and turpentine.

Polish car wax could work too.

There are so many options that is mind blowing. All depends where you are and what you have available.
